DHgate Outlines Refund and Return Procedures

E-commerce platform DHgate has clarified its refund and return procedures for customers, aiming to ensure buyer satisfaction. The company announced that customers can seek a full refund if they wish to return their order for any reason. The return process typically begins within a 3 to 90-day period after receiving the order.

DHgate emphasizes that while the process may vary between suppliers, all are bound by the company's refund policy. Customers are encouraged to first contact the seller to resolve any issues. If an agreement cannot be reached, DHgate offers additional support to ensure the matter is amicably resolved.

A refund can be requested if an order is delayed, the product received does not match its description, or it is damaged. Customers must open a dispute within 5 to 90 days from the shipment dispatch date, depending on the shipping carrier used (e.g., DHL, EMS, China Post). It may not be possible to open a dispute after 90 days have elapsed.

Opening a dispute is done by logging into the DHgate account, navigating to "My DHGate," and selecting "My Orders." The order number is then entered. Disputes for pending deliveries can also be initiated via the app under "Account" and "My Orders."

Reasons for requesting a refund can include quantity shortages. This requires detailed information and photographic evidence of received products or packaging damage. Proof of package weight and shipping labels, as well as an unboxing video, may be necessary to support claims.
