Dhpg advises civitec on GoBD implementation
IT services firm Dhpg has advised Zweckverband Kommunale Informationsverarbeitung civitec on ensuring their accounting practices comply with new GoBD regulations.

The IT services division of dhpg, a mid-sized consulting firm, has assisted Zweckverband Kommunale Informationsverarbeitung civitec (civitec), an IT service provider for 80 municipal entities, in verifying its accounting practices for compliance with GoBD.
The GoBD principles ('Grundsätze zur ordnungsmäßigen Führung und Aufbewahrung von Büchern, Aufzeichnungen und Unterlagen in elektronischer Form sowie zum Datenzugriff'), which have been in effect since January 1, 2015, are mandatory for all companies. Non-compliance can potentially lead to tax estimations by financial authorities.
In response, civitec commissioned dhpg's IT Services for a comprehensive GoBD check. The firm provided a detailed report outlining civitec's tax-relevant business processes, their functionalities, and concrete recommendations for future action. A new procedural documentation was established to ensure GoBD conformity, eliminate redundancies, and accelerate workflows.
Prof. Dr. Andreas Blum, partner and IT expert at dhpg, noted the successful collaboration and highlighted that many companies still have compliance needs regarding procedural documentation even a year after GoBD's introduction. Rolf-Peter Halm, head of the civitec business unit, stated that dhpg's IT experts quickly understood their processes, and these now form a solid basis for upcoming ISO 9001 certification.
