Digia Plc has named Kimmo Kärkkäinen as its new Chief Financial Officer and member of the management team. He is expected to start no later than February 2027.
Finnish software and services company Digia Plc has appointed Kimmo Kärkkäinen as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Kärkkäinen will join the company from Vincit, where he currently serves in the same capacity. He will report to President and CEO Timo Levoranta and is scheduled to assume the role by February 2027 at the latest.
Kärkkäinen’s professional background includes leadership roles in finance at Fira Group and Affecto, as well as experience from the private equity firm Bocap and a tenure at TeliaSonera. According to CEO Timo Levoranta, Kärkkäinen’s expertise in mergers and acquisitions and business development is aligned with the company’s objective of maintaining its long-term profitable growth trajectory.
Kärkkäinen succeeds Kristiina Simola, who announced her departure in April 2026 to focus on a career in corporate governance and board work. Simola will continue to serve as CFO during the transition period to ensure a handover before Kärkkäinen assumes his duties.
