Digia Modernizes OP Pohjola's Securities Services Systems
Digia will modernize OP Pohjola's core securities systems and processes using its STS solution, aiming to enhance wealth management and customer experience.
Digia Oyj has been selected by OP Pohjola to modernize the core systems and processes for its securities services. The project aims to update essential systems, increase automation, and establish a scalable platform for ongoing service development.
The system overhaul will utilize Digia's STS solution, which encompasses the processing of securities orders and trades, settlement, custody, and related reporting and management functions. The agreement includes both the implementation of the system and continuous service provision.
OP Pohjola stated that the modernization will support the growth of its wealth management business, improve service efficiency, and strengthen its ability to comply with evolving regulatory requirements and industry changes. The objective is to provide customers with a seamless and continuously enhanced investment experience.
The new platform is designed to streamline the system landscape, improve data management, and reduce manual work through open APIs. The modernization will be rolled out in phases, beginning with equity savings accounts and expanding to cover all securities portfolios, as well as institutional and custody services.
