Digia signs framework agreement with NATO

Digia has entered into a framework agreement with the NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA). The agreement allows the Helsinki-listed company to participate in procurement processes initiated by NATO and its member nations, focusing on IT infrastructure and digital development projects.

CEO Timo Levoranta stated that the deal aligns with the company’s internationalization strategy. Digia is among the first Finnish firms to receive this approval, which required vetting from both NATO and Finnish security authorities.

Digia consolidated its defense-related operations into a dedicated business unit in 2022, having previously served the Finnish Defence Forces. According to Harri Suni, Director of Defense at Digia, the company is positioning itself to provide secure digital solutions, including AI applications and autonomous systems, for which demand is growing within the alliance.

This framework agreement facilitates Digia's entry into the broader international security market, marking a shift from its domestic-focused defense operations toward broader European and trans-Atlantic cooperation.
