Water technology startup DigitalPaani has secured ₹22 crore (approximately $2.3 million) in a funding round led by Navam Capital, with participation from Enzia Ventures, Chakra Growth Capital, 3one4 Capital, Momentum Capital, Achieving Women Entrepreneurs Early Growth Fund, and Echo River Capital.
The company intends to utilize the fresh capital to expand its reach across industrial and municipal sectors, scale operations to serve more institutional clients, and enter international markets. A portion of the funds will also be allocated to strengthening its core operations.
Founded in 2020 by Mansi and Rajesh Jain, the Delhi NCR-based startup operates an AI- and IoT-powered software platform designed to assist businesses, utilities, and municipalities in managing water and wastewater infrastructure. The platform collects real-time data, analyzes operational performance against design parameters, identifies inefficiencies, and automates tasks like equipment management and maintenance.
DigitalPaani's technology aids sewage treatment plants and other water facilities in increasing wastewater recycling, reducing operational losses, and preventing breakdowns. The company claims its deployments have helped non-compliant plants become fully operational while cutting costs by 25%. This funding comes amid growing demand for wastewater treatment solutions in India, a market projected to reach $19.4 billion by 2034.
