Dior Presents 2025 Cruise Collection in Scotland
Dior has unveiled its 2025 Cruise Collection at Drummond Castle in Perthshire, Scotland, referencing the brand's historical ties to the country. The collection blends historical influences with contemporary design.

Fashion house Dior presented its 2025 Cruise Collection against the backdrop of Drummond Castle's gardens in Perthshire, Scotland. This event echoes Christian Dior's own presentation of his creations in Scotland back in 1955, marking a significant historical reference for the brand.
Maria Grazia Chiuri, the Creative Director for Dior's women's lines, curated a collection that bridges eras and cultures. Elements from archival images of the 1955 Spring-Summer show have been reinterpreted as prints and appliqués on pleated skirts. The iconic Scottish kilt and tartan fabrics are central themes, revisited with fresh color palettes and expressions.
The collection features a variety of textures, including velvet contrasted with lace, suitable for contemporary equestrian styles. Silhouettes range from short to long, with coats and capes enveloping the body, some adorned with embroidered maps of Scotland. Intricate embroidery, inspired by the historical figure Mary, Queen of Scots, and symbolizing Scotland with motifs like the unicorn and thistle, adds a layer of narrative depth.
Models showcased the designs accessorized with either rain boots or high wader boots, embodying a blend of punk and romantic aesthetics. Their looks were completed with either bare faces or embellished with pearls, conveying a powerful and assertive presence.
