Dior Presents Miss Dior Exhibition in Shanghai

The House of Dior is presenting a new immersive exhibition in Shanghai. Titled "Miss Dior – Stories of a Miss," the event is open at the Fosun Foundation from September 13 to October 8, 2025.

The exhibition pays homage to Dior's first fragrance and its inspiration, Catherine Dior, sister to Christian Dior and a hero of the French Resistance. The display traces the history of the perfume through Christian Dior's archives, photographs, and heritage objects.

The exhibition features a variety of sensory experiences. Visitors can encounter the fragrance's key notes and admire a sculptural floral robe. A section also revisits the style of the 1960s, reflecting Dior's first ready-to-wear collection. The spaces were designed by OMA New York.

The final part of the exhibition fosters a dialogue between haute couture and contemporary art. Dresses worn by Natalie Portman in Miss Dior campaigns are displayed alongside works by six Chinese female artists: Ai Jing, Chen Ke, Liu Shiyuan, Zhou Li, Liang Yuanwei, and Daishi Luo. These artists have created original works for the exhibition, some shown for the first time.

Dior is reinforcing its connection with China through this exhibition, which follows the success of the L’Or de Dior exhibition in Beijing last year. The event blends art, couture, and olfactory memory.
