Diplomats visit Shaanxi to tour historical sites and arts festival
Fourteen diplomats from nine countries toured cultural heritage sites and attended the Silk Road International Arts Festival in Xi'an, China, earlier this month.

Between October 9 and 12, representatives from nine nations, including Belarus, Morocco, and Albania, participated in the 2026 'Discover China Cultural Tour' in Shaanxi province. The tour focused on historical landmarks and the region's contemporary arts scene.
The delegation visited the Terracotta Warriors museum and attended events associated with the Silk Road International Arts Festival. These initiatives are part of a broader effort by the Chinese government to encourage cultural exchange and facilitate diplomatic relations with foreign officials based in Beijing.
Shaanxi remains a significant focal point for China’s diplomatic tourism outreach due to its status as the eastern starting point of the ancient Silk Road. By hosting these delegations, local authorities aim to increase international visibility of the province’s cultural assets.
