Germany's direct sales sector maintained a turnover of €20.89 billion in 2024, according to a new market study by the Federal Association for Direct Sales Germany (BDD).

The direct sales industry in Germany recorded a turnover of €20.89 billion in 2024, demonstrating stability despite economic challenges. Approximately 907,000 independent sales partners operated within the sector.
According to the "Marktstudie 2025" (Market Study 2025) released by the Bundesverband Direktvertrieb Deutschland (BDD), the industry has proven to be a reliable economic factor. Personal customer consultation and the sales partners' enthusiasm for products are highlighted as key success elements.
The study emphasizes the significance of self-employment within direct sales, offering entrepreneurial opportunities with minimal entry barriers. The primary drivers for joining the industry are cited as product passion, earning potential, and flexible working hours.
Digital tools, including social media and artificial intelligence, are increasingly integrated. While personal consultations remain central, digital channels enhance sales efforts and customer relationship management. The sector is investing in AI solutions to improve customer service efficiency.
