Discovery Plus price increases for subscribers

Discovery Plus is raising prices for both its ad-supported and ad-free plans. The new pricing will take effect on Tuesday.

The ad-supported plan will increase from $5.99 to $6.99 per month, while the ad-free tier will rise from $9.99 to $11.99 per month.

This price hike follows by one week the acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery, the former owner of Discovery Plus, by Paramount. The combined entity, known as Skydance, intends to merge Paramount Plus and HBO Max into a single service eventually, though Discovery Plus's future as a standalone streamer remains uncertain.

Discovery Plus offers content from networks including TLC, The Discovery Channel, HGTV, and Food Network.
