Entertainment giant Disney has officially denied speculation about a complete takeover of Epic Games. Dana Walden, Disney's president and chief creative officer, clarified in an interview with Bloomberg that a full acquisition is not currently on the agenda.

"We have had very thorough discussions about investments and minority stakes," Walden stated. However, she emphasized, "A full acquisition is not something we are discussing at this time."

This clarification follows Disney's significant $1.5 billion investment in Epic Games in 2024, which secured a 9% stake in the gaming company. The prior investment highlights an existing relationship between the two entities.

Despite ruling out a full purchase, Disney and Epic Games are continuing their close partnership. Walden added that "our partnership is very strong," with new content planned for release over the next two years, underscoring the value of their collaboration.
