Disney+'s streaming service, Disney+, has updated its user agreement to allow advertisements to be shown before and after content on all subscription tiers. This marks a significant shift, ending the platform's previous commitment to an ad-free viewing experience for all subscribers, including those on the most expensive plans.

The updated terms require users to actively agree to the new conditions upon logging into the service. Disney confirmed in an email to subscribers that all tiers, including the Premium Plan which was initially marketed for its uninterrupted viewing, may now feature promotional content and commercial advertisements.

The only exception to this new policy is the service's 'Kids Profile,' which will continue to offer a completely ad-free experience. This means that even the highest-tier subscribers are now subject to advertisements.

Disney has also stated that some ads may be unskippable, and the use of ad-blocking software could prevent content from playing altogether. The company further noted in its user agreement that it does not guarantee the quantity or frequency of ad insertions across any subscription tier.
