DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro Camera Price Drops Significantly in China
The DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro action camera has temporarily dropped below 1700 yuan in China. The discount is achieved through a combination of coupons and government subsidies.
DJI's Osmo Action 5 Pro action camera is currently available at a reduced price in China. Following its original launch price of 2598 yuan, online retailer JD.com is offering the camera for 1664.3 yuan during its 11.11 promotional event. This price is attainable by utilizing a 240 yuan coupon and leveraging a 15% government subsidy, which deducts 293.7 yuan from the cost.
Launched in September 2024, the Osmo Action 5 Pro features a new 1/1.3-inch sensor, enabling 4K video recording at 120 frames per second. The camera supports 10-bit D-Log M and HLG color modes, providing a wide dynamic range and capturing over a billion colors for professional post-production. The device's front and rear screens are OLED touch displays with enhanced brightness for daytime usability.
Further enhancements to the camera include a 50% increase in battery life, achieving up to 4 hours on a single charge. DJI is also introducing a subject tracking feature that keeps the intended person centered without the need for a gimbal. Additionally, the device offers 360° horizon leveling and strong image stabilization. The camera is waterproof to a depth of 20 meters and supports professional diving use with EN13319 certification.
The Osmo Action 5 Pro also supports direct connection of external microphones, such as the DJI Mic 2, for high-quality audio recording. It records altitude data and supports the integration of third-party sports data, like GPS and heart rate information from smart devices. An optional charging handle extends operating time and provides additional functionalities.
