DJI Releases Matrice 5T Enterprise Drone with Enhanced Night Vision and LiDAR

DJI has announced the release of the Matrice 5T, a new drone model designed for industrial and enterprise applications. The hardware is built with an IP55 ingress protection rating, allowing it to operate in various environmental conditions.

The aircraft integrates a comprehensive sensor suite including LiDAR, millimeter-wave radar, and vision sensors. These components are designed to support navigation and obstacle avoidance in complex environments. Additionally, the unit features 1K resolution thermal imaging and specialized night-vision sensors to assist in low-light operations.

The launch follows a push by hardware manufacturers to increase the autonomy and visibility of drone systems for sectors such as public safety and site surveying. By combining thermal and radar data, the Matrice 5T aims to improve data collection accuracy during night-time flights.

The Matrice 5T is available immediately for commercial clients. The company positions this model as an upgrade to its existing enterprise fleet, focusing on reliability and situational awareness for high-stakes field operations.
