DJI Releases New 8K 360-Degree Camera

DJI has launched its new Osmo 360 II 8K camera in the Chinese market, with prices starting at RMB3,299 (approximately $460 USD).

The camera is equipped with a 1-inch panoramic imaging sensor, capable of capturing 8K resolution video at 60 frames per second. It offers 14.5 stops of dynamic range, aiming to provide high-quality footage in various lighting conditions. The device also includes features such as AI Super Night Scene 2.0 for improved low-light performance, subject tracking capabilities, and NFC pairing for quick setup.

DJI is offering two versions of the Osmo 360 II. The base model is priced at RMB3,299, while a higher-tier package is available for RMB3,999. Both models come with 105GB of internal storage, facilitating on-device recording without immediate need for external media.

The release of the Osmo 360 II indicates DJI's continued expansion into the professional and prosumer camera market, building on its established presence in drone technology. The 8K 360-degree capability positions it for content creators in areas such as virtual reality and immersive filmmaking.
