DNB Bank initiates share buyback program for 0.75 percent of equity
DNB Bank ASA has launched a share buyback program of up to 10.8 million shares, following regulatory approval and shareholder authorization.

DNB Bank ASA has commenced a share buyback program targeting up to 0.75 percent of its total outstanding shares. The operation will result in the acquisition of 10,804,986 company shares.
The initiative follows authorization granted by shareholders during the Annual General Meeting on April 21, 2026. The Financial Supervisory Authority of Norway has cleared the program, subject to a cap of NOK 3,790 million to ensure the bank maintains adequate capital levels.
According to the bank, the program aims to optimize its capital structure. Buybacks serve as a mechanism for financial institutions to manage capital efficiency and return excess liquidity to shareholders, often signaling stability in their long-term financial planning.
