Documentary to Explore AI's Impact Across American Life

A new documentary project, "America vs. AI," will embark on an extensive cross-country journey in October 2026 to explore the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on American lives. The project is led by Andrew DeGood, founder and CEO of AskBobAI, and Liz Short, a consultant in leadership and organizational performance.

Over the course of the journey, spanning more than 3,400 miles and visiting over 20 cities, DeGood and Short will interview workers, parents, students, and business owners. The goal is to gather firsthand accounts of how AI is reshaping jobs, education, business, and family life. "America vs. AI" aims to document the current effects of AI, rather than focusing solely on future predictions.

The documentary intends to present a human-centered perspective on the rapid advancement of AI. Rather than centering exclusively on tech executives, the project will feature conversations with everyday individuals experiencing AI's influence. Interviews will take place in workplaces, schools, and communities, capturing both planned discussions and spontaneous encounters.

Short-form footage and updates will be released throughout the journey. The project's website, AmericaVsAI.com, provides details on the route and opportunities for public participation. The documentary seeks to understand the opportunities and concerns AI presents without pre-determined conclusions.
