Dodge Announces Return to NASCAR Cup Series Competition
Dodge will return to the NASCAR Cup Series in 2027, marking the manufacturer's first entry into the competition since 2012.

Stellantis-owned Dodge has announced its return to the NASCAR Cup Series starting in the 2027 season. The move marks the manufacturer's first participation in the premier racing series since its exit following a championship win in 2012.
Tim Kuniskis, head of American Brands and SRT Performance at Stellantis North America, confirmed the plans at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas. The company has partnered with Kaulig Racing, which will serve as the factory-backed anchor team for both Dodge and Ram motorsports efforts. Kuniskis stated that the company is prioritizing an accelerated development timeline, opting to refine vehicle performance in real-time during competition rather than through multi-year off-track planning.
The official unveiling of the Dodge stock car is scheduled for December 4 during the Snowball Derby in Pensacola, Florida. Further details regarding the 2027 driver lineup are expected to be announced during the NASCAR Championship Weekend in Homestead-Miami.
