Dohop releases TravelSure for automated flight disruption recovery
Travel technology firm Dohop has introduced TravelSure, a service designed to automate passenger rebooking and communication during direct flight disruptions.

Iceland-based travel technology provider Dohop has launched TravelSure, a platform aimed at helping airlines, online travel agencies, and travel sellers manage flight disruptions. The service targets direct flights, providing automated rebooking and communication tools to support passengers when delays exceed three hours or cancellations occur.
The system allows for rebooking on any available carrier, supported by a 24/7 multilingual assistance team managed by Dohop. This offering functions as an extension of the company's existing ConnectSure product, which historically focused on multi-carrier, self-connecting itineraries. By applying this technology to direct flights, Dohop aims to provide a standardized recovery process for its partners.
According to Hugh Aitken, Chief Operating Officer at Dohop, the service is designed to mitigate the financial and reputational impacts of travel disruptions. Market data suggests that poor handling of such events significantly decreases customer retention, a problem the company seeks to address by automating the recovery workflow.
Partners can integrate the service into their own booking platforms, maintaining their brand identity while offloading support tasks. The company notes that the implementation of TravelSure does not override passenger rights regarding statutory refunds or airline compensation.
