Domino's Offers Free Detroit-Style Pizza in Competitive Taste Test

Domino's has introduced its latest menu item, a single-serve Detroit-style pizza named "The Domino." The rectangular pizza features parmesan cheese, a buttery dough, two layers of cheese, and a choice of three toppings, seasoned with garlic.

The company is offering $1 million worth of the new pizzas as part of a promotion. To participate, customers must first purchase a signature item from a competing fast-food chain, such as McDonald's Big Mac or Burger King's Whopper. Receipts can then be uploaded to a promotional website to receive a code for a free "Domino" pizza.

"The Domino was created for the way people eat today, where a meal doesn’t always mean sharing the same pizza," said Kate Trumbull, Domino's global chief marketing officer. "It solves a problem traditional pizza never could: Everyone gets the toppings they love, without having to compromise."

The promotion aims to encourage customers to try the new product and compare it directly with offerings from other major fast-food players. The giveaway is available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.
