Dongfeng Fengxing has announced that its new Star Sea V6 model will officially launch on September 19. The vehicle is a collaboration with technology company Huawei, with pre-sale prices starting at 104,900 yuan (approximately $14,400 USD).
The Star Sea V6 is positioned as the only vehicle in its 100,000 yuan price bracket to feature Huawei's Kunlun ADS 5 SE intelligent driving system. This system utilizes a sensor suite comprising 10 cameras, 12 ultrasonic radars, and 3 millimeter-wave radars for environmental perception. It supports advanced driver-assistance features, including highway navigation assistance (NCA) and urban lane cruising assistance (LCC+), along with parking assistance for over 160 complex scenarios.
The vehicle measures 4835mm in length, 1900mm in width, and 1755mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2900mm. It is powered by a 135kW electric motor producing 260 Nm of torque. Battery options include 45.5kWh and 60.5kWh, providing CLTC-rated ranges of 400km and 510km, respectively.
Inside, the Star Sea V6 features a 2+2+2 six-seat layout with a flat floor in the second and third rows. The cockpit includes an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster and a 15.6-inch central touchscreen, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip. The infotainment system supports Baidu's Wenxin large language model.
