Dongfeng Nissan Emphasizes Quality Standards for New Electric Vehicles
Dongfeng Nissan's Deputy General Manager Wang Qian stresses the company's adherence to complete verification standards for its joint venture electric vehicle systems, rejecting rushed production.

Wang Qian, Deputy General Manager of Dongfeng Nissan, has emphasized the company's commitment to upholding comprehensive verification standards for its joint venture electric vehicle systems. He stated that the company is focused on long-term endurance and reliability rather than rapid production in the competitive new energy vehicle sector.
These remarks come as regulatory bodies are increasingly focusing on vehicle quality and safety. Recently, China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, along with three other departments, released draft regulations concerning innovative design and testing of automotive products. The guidelines mandate that manufacturers conduct thorough risk assessments during the product development phase.
The new regulations include specific requirements for safety-related features, such as emergency escape and braking devices, which must have physical controls and clear markings. Innovations in door handle design are also subject to stringent testing for functionality in extreme environments and emergency operability, with fully hidden door handles being prohibited. Additionally, the use of certain seat functions, like 'zero gravity' or rotating seats, is restricted during driving, and the design of large display screens must be evaluated for impact on driving safety.
Dongfeng Nissan's approach signals a strategic focus on building consumer trust through rigorous quality assurance. By prioritizing thorough testing and adhering to strict safety protocols, the company aims to establish a strong market presence based on dependable and safe electric vehicles, positioning itself for sustained success in the evolving automotive landscape.
