Dongfeng Peugeot schedules 2027 Peugeot 408 market launch

Dongfeng Peugeot has announced that the 2027 model year Peugeot 408 will officially enter the market on November 6. The release introduces a new “South France Yellow” exterior color, while the vehicle’s design and core technical specifications remain consistent with the current production version.

The car retains its dimensions, featuring a 2730 mm wheelbase. The interior continues to utilize the i-Cockpit layout, equipped with a 12-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10-inch central display. The Blue-i 3.0 system supports wireless CarPlay and HiCar, maintaining physical buttons for essential controls to aid driver usability.

Power is provided by a fourth-generation 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine, producing 127 kW of power and 255 Nm of torque. This is paired with an Aisin six-speed automatic transmission. The chassis setup, tuned by the CLDR team, features a front MacPherson and rear torsion beam configuration, maintaining a focus on driving stability and road feedback rather than soft damping.

The 2027 model year update focuses on minor aesthetic adjustments, with the vehicle remaining mechanically identical to its predecessor.
