Dongfeng Yipai M8 Orders Exceed 10,000 Units in Four Hours
Dongfeng Yipai announced that orders for its new M8 model surpassed 10,000 units within four hours of its official launch. The vehicle is available in fully electric and range-extended variants.
Chinese automaker Dongfeng Yipai announced on July 24 that orders for its newly launched M8 model exceeded 10,000 units within four hours of its official market introduction.
The M8 model, which officially launched the previous evening, is offered in both fully electric (BEV) and range-extended electric vehicle (EREV) configurations. The introductory pricing starts at 165,800 yuan (approximately $22,800 USD) for a limited-time offer. The vehicle features Huawei's ADS 5 Pro intelligent driving system.
The M8 is available in five exterior color options and three interior color schemes. Its dimensions are 5,020 mm in length, 1,975 mm in width, and 1,733 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,025 mm.
Regarding its intelligent driving capabilities, the M8 comes equipped with Huawei's ADS 5 Pro system. This system utilizes 27 intelligent sensor hardware components to provide 360-degree environmental perception. It supports autonomous driving capabilities on highways, in urban areas, and in industrial parks, along with an automatic parking function.
The powertrain options include a BEV version with a CLTC range of 600 km, capable of charging from 30% to 80% in 15.5 minutes using an 800V architecture. The EREV version offers a 300 km pure electric range (CLTC) and a total range of 1,281 km, with a 30% to 80% charge taking 14.3 minutes.
