Food delivery company DoorDash has partnered with AI platform Observe.AI and Amazon Web Services (AWS) to significantly enhance its customer support operations.

The collaboration enables DoorDash to automatically evaluate nearly 100% of customer interactions. This allows for real-time issue detection, deeper understanding of customer sentiment, and improved quality consistency across its 19,000 support agents.

As DoorDash expanded, traditional manual quality assurance processes became insufficient. The company sought a more scalable approach to understand the root causes of customer pain points. The platform powered by Observe.AI and AWS now provides comprehensive automated analysis.

"AI is incredibly important to DoorDash, especially in customer experience," said Xenia Strunnikova, Head of Customer Experience at DoorDash. "We wanted to better understand what drives customer sentiment and put the customer at the center of our decisions."

This automation shifts human quality teams from manual scoring to higher-value analysis, focusing on customer safety and fairness. Emergent issues, such as concerns with DashPass or new feature launches, can now be surfaced in near real-time, accelerating product iteration and customer care.
