Doro has released a report titled "Smartphones and Smart-homes – the new way of delivering care to seniors," highlighting the role of technology in addressing the challenges of an aging population. The report suggests digital solutions can improve elder care and safety.

The company posits that technologies like GPS alarms, cloud-connected homes, and wearable devices can enhance the well-being and security of seniors living independently. These tools enable professional caregivers and relatives to remotely monitor health, potentially mitigating issues related to healthcare system strain and a growing dependency ratio.

"We see fantastic potential in how technology can be used to meet some of the demands faced by today’s society in relation to the ageing population," stated Robert Puskaric, CEO of Doro. He also noted that regulatory frameworks can sometimes hinder the adoption of new technologies.

Alongside the report, Doro is introducing its mobile safety service, Response by Doro, to multiple European markets. The service, operational in Sweden since late 2018, connects seniors to Doro's alarm receiving centers with a simple button press in case of emergencies. It integrates with the MyDoro cloud service and is set for Android and iOS availability in the second quarter of 2019.
