DPW Amsterdam 2026, held September 30 to October 1 at RAI Amsterdam, saw over 2,200 procurement and supply chain leaders gather from more than 50 countries. The event's sell-out status, with more than 100 Chief Procurement Officers (CPOs) in attendance, highlights the industry's transition from a phase of experimentation to one of active execution.

DPW founder Matthias Gutzmann noted the significant growth since the event's 2019 debut, which hosted 400 attendees. This year's attendance, over five times larger, reflects the sector's maturation and its adaptation to the AI era. The event's theme, "RECODE," emphasized the need to redesign procurement processes and the relationship between people and intelligent systems to achieve meaningful outcomes.

The program featured keynotes and discussions on leveraging AI in procurement, recoding enterprise operating models, and procurement's role as a strategic control tower. Speakers included Siemens CPO Klaus Staubitzer and McKinsey's Theano Liakopoulou. The event culminated in the DPW Awards, recognizing startups, corporate teams, and individuals shaping the future of procurement and supply chains.

The Expo Hall showcased over 150 solutions from technology providers and 100 startups. "Guided Tech Safaris" offered expert-led, curated tours where existing customers shared practical experiences. Matchmaking technology was also employed to facilitate networking, helping attendees connect with relevant individuals to address challenges and advance initiatives.
