Dragan Skrbić Elected First President of Balkan Gaming Federation

Dragan Skrbić, president of the Serbian gaming association AGOS, has been elected as the first president of the Balkan Gaming Federation (BGF). The federation convened in Bucharest, Romania, on September 29 for a two-day program, with official leadership elections held on the second day.

The establishment of a formal leadership structure marks a significant milestone following the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation six months prior. This election signifies the BGF's progression into its next developmental stage with a defined leadership and initial joint initiatives.

Filip Jelavić, secretary general of the Croatian association Hupis, and Sorin Georgescu, president of Romania's Romslot and vice president of Fedbet, were elected as vice presidents. Euromat, a European umbrella organization for gaming associations, also participated in the Bucharest program, with its president Jason Frost observing the election.

The newly elected leadership team is scheduled to make its first joint public appearance at the Gaming Industry Gala Dinner in Sofia, Bulgaria, on November 24. The BGF has previously stated its objectives include combating illegal gambling activities within the region.
