Dream11 CEO announces platform overhaul by late 2026
Dream11 co-founder Harsh Jain has confirmed plans to launch a redesigned version of the platform by the end of 2026 as the company continues to restructure.

Dream11 CEO Harsh Jain announced via social media that the company is developing a new iteration of its flagship platform, slated for release in December 2026. While the company has not provided specific details regarding new features or the underlying business model, the announcement marks a strategic attempt to redefine the platform's utility for its user base.
This shift follows a period of regulatory turbulence in the Indian gaming sector. The passage of the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill, 2025, which restricted real-money gaming, forced Dream11 to move away from its core paid-contest model toward content-focused engagement. The company currently faces significant fiscal pressure, including a 28% retrospective GST liability exceeding ₹20,000 crore, recently upheld by the Supreme Court.
Dream11’s parent company, Dream Sports, has recently divested from several experimental ventures, including its wealth tech unit Dream Money, the Dream Play analytics app, and the FanCode merchandise arm, citing commercial viability concerns. The upcoming platform redesign represents a pivot as the organization seeks to stabilize its operations amidst ongoing tax litigation and a changing legislative landscape.
