Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream has initiated a voluntary recall for several flavors of its Outshine Fruit Bars, citing a potential risk of glass contamination. The affected products include Outshine Strawberry, Watermelon, Grape, Tangerine, and Black Cherry varieties in 6-count, 2.5-ounce packages. The company stated that no other Outshine flavors or products are impacted by this recall. To date, no illnesses or injuries have been reported in connection with the issue.
Consumers who have purchased the potentially affected fruit bars are advised to check the bottom of the box for specific best-before dates, UPC codes, and batch numbers. The recalled products have best-before dates ranging from September 2027 through November 2027.
Customers possessing the recalled fruit bars are instructed to either dispose of the product or return it to their place of purchase for a full refund. Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream apologized for any inconvenience caused by this recall and reaffirmed its commitment to food safety standards.
