DRF Luftrettung and DRF Maintenance Combine Technical Expertise
DRF Luftrettung and DRF Maintenance are merging their technical expertise to form DRF Aviation Services, launching on October 1, 2026.

DRF Luftrettung and DRF Maintenance are combining their technical expertise to establish DRF Aviation Services, a new entity set to launch on October 1, 2026. The company will integrate over 50 years of experience in helicopter maintenance, modifications, and services.
The newly formed DRF Aviation Services aims to provide comprehensive support as a "one-stop shop" for helicopter operators, focusing on reducing downtime and increasing operational availability. This initiative builds on the DRF Group's extensive experience, which operates one of Europe's largest Airbus helicopter fleets.
The service portfolio includes EASA Part-145 base and line maintenance, Part-21 design and production organization services, and Continuing Airworthiness Management (CAMO). DRF Aviation Services will also offer support for helicopter acquisitions and sales, production oversight, and transfers, alongside an extensive spare parts inventory.
"With DRF Aviation Services, the combined technical expertise of the DRF Group becomes available to all customers," stated CEO Roman Morka. "Our objective is clear: less time on the ground, more time in operation. Customers benefit from our experience, swift decision-making, and services from a single source."
DRF Aviation Services operates 18 maintenance docks across three locations in Germany, enabling maintenance and repair work to be performed close to customers. Mobile line maintenance teams further extend the company's reach, providing on-site support.
