Drive Test GmbH releases DT-TDS 200 series ultrasonic flow meters

Drive Test GmbH has launched the DT-TDS 200 series, a line of ultrasonic flow meters designed to measure liquid flow without requiring physical pipe penetration. The system aims to provide volumetric data for sectors including power generation, chemical processing, and water management.

By utilizing non-invasive sensor technology, the hardware avoids the need for system shutdowns or pipe cutting during installation. This approach reduces maintenance requirements and potential leak points common in traditional inline measurement devices.

The DT-TDS 200 series operates by calculating flow velocity through transit-time difference measurements, a standard method for monitoring liquid movement in closed conduits. The company intends for these units to assist facility managers in improving thermal efficiency and meeting regulatory documentation requirements.

While ultrasonic metering faces challenges in highly aerated fluids, the new series enters a market increasingly focused on non-intrusive maintenance and automated process diagnostics. Deployment of the equipment is expected to begin immediately across European industrial sites.
