Drone firm Manna relocates operations to Oklahoma

Irish drone developer Manna has relocated a substantial part of its operations to Tulsa, Oklahoma. CEO Bobby Healy expressed that the U.S. offers a more conducive environment for business compared to Europe.

Healy himself has moved to Tulsa, taking a significant portion of the company with him. He attributes this move to easier access to funding and a faster pace of business in the United States. "The US is open for business, Europe is not," Healy stated in an interview.

Manna, which has secured substantial funding from European investors, initially focused on the European market. The company provides drone delivery services, and Healy finds expanding the business in the U.S. to be more straightforward.

Healy provided specific examples of the U.S.'s efficiency, recounting a financing negotiation that resulted in a positive outcome within 20 minutes, a process he estimated would take considerably longer in Europe. This difference is a key driver behind Manna's strategic shift.

Manna aims to become a global leader in drone delivery services and intends to continue its research and development in Oklahoma, leveraging the U.S. market's potential for growth.
