DS N°7 Electric SUV Introduced: Familiar Technology in Premium Packaging
Stellantis Group's DS Automobiles has unveiled its new N°7 electric SUV. The vehicle utilizes existing Stellantis Group technology while aiming to differentiate itself with premium features and design.

DS Automobiles, part of the Stellantis Group, has introduced its new N°7 electric SUV. The vehicle leverages technology already in use within the Stellantis Group, while seeking to distinguish itself with premium styling and features.
The new DS N°7 measures 4.66 meters in length with a wheelbase of 2.79 meters, placing it in a size class comparable to vehicles like the Skoda Enyaq and Opel Grandland. The car is reported to offer improved visibility due to larger windows. A large glass roof is available as an option, though unlike its predecessor, it is not designed to open.
The lineup begins with a familiar hybrid version powered by a 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine, delivering a system output of 107 kW. Three different electric motor variants will be offered. Notable features include a warm air flow directed to the neck and an interior mirror that can display a camera feed from the rear. Previous Stellantis models have faced criticism regarding this integrated camera technology.
The DS N°7 will be equipped with advanced matrix lighting technology, capable of reaching up to 540 meters. A camera system allows the car to adapt its lighting to road signs and adjust the suspension based on road surface irregularities. The vehicle is also said to utilize ChatGPT technology for enhanced voice control and a night vision camera that can detect animals up to 300 meters away.
DS has aimed to differentiate itself from other group brands by focusing on refinement and detail. The company previously established the DS brand with the objective of challenging the premium segment, but a significant breakthrough has yet to be achieved. The N°7 represents a new attempt to capture market share in this segment.
