Duke-NUS: 40 Researchers Receive National Medical Research Council Awards
The National Medical Research Council (NMRC) of Singapore has awarded 40 grants to clinician-scientists, researchers, and innovators from Duke-NUS Medical School. Professor Ivy Ng received a distinguished contributor award.
The National Medical Research Council (NMRC) of Singapore has recognized 40 clinician-scientists, researchers, and innovators from Duke-NUS Medical School with prestigious talent development grants. The awards were presented across various categories, including the Singapore Translational Research Investigator Award, Clinician-Scientist Award, HPHSR Clinician-Scientist Award, and Clinician-Innovator Award.
In addition to these, 24 Duke-NUS clinician-scientists received the Transition Award and NMRC Research Training Fellowship. These grants and fellowships support individuals leading internationally competitive research and innovative transformations in medicine.
Professor Ivy Ng, Senior Advisor to the SingHealth Board and a member of the Duke-NUS Governing Board, was honored with the NMRC Distinguished Contributor Award. This award acknowledges her sustained and impactful contributions to building Singapore's translational and clinical research infrastructure and nurturing clinician-scientist talent.
The collective recipients' work aims to advance medical frontiers and enhance patient care for Singapore and beyond. The awarded research spans diverse medical fields, contributing to the development of new treatments and technologies.
