Duke-NUS Medical School is offering a new postgraduate course in palliative medicine designed for physicians. The 3-day program, known as the Postgraduate Course in Palliative Medicine for Doctors (LCPC-SHC), aims to equip doctors with generalist palliative care skills and knowledge to integrate into their practice for patients with serious life-limiting illnesses.

The course is intended for doctors across all settings. It utilizes a blended learning approach, providing participants access to online mini-presentations, assessments, and resources via the Duke-NUS Learning Management System. The in-class component features interactive lectures, discussions, and role-play activities.

Upcoming runs are scheduled for November 2026, March, July, and November 2027. Registration typically opens approximately two months before the course start date, with the e-learning portion commencing prior to the face-to-face teaching sessions.

The course fee is S$1,744, with eligibility for SkillsFuture Credit to offset the net fee. Additional support is available for primary care doctors through the Singapore Hospice Council's PC2 Training Award. Completion of all assessments and course requirements is necessary for certification.
