DUNU Audio Announces New PRS 6 Hybrid Earphones
DUNU Audio has unveiled its new PRS 6 earphones, the company's first hybrid earphones featuring MEMS technology. They will be available for purchase on September 16th at a price of 1680 yuan.
DUNU Audio has announced its new PRS 6 earphones, scheduled for release in China on September 16th with a retail price of 1680 yuan (approximately $230 USD). This model marks the company's debut into hybrid earphone technology, integrating both dynamic drivers and MEMS components.
The PRS 6 earphones utilize a six-driver hybrid configuration. This includes one dynamic driver for low frequencies, two balanced armature drivers for midrange frequencies, and two additional armature drivers for higher frequencies. A MEMS driver is incorporated for ultra-high frequencies. The sound is divided using a four-way system that employs both physical and electronic crossover networks.
The new passive MEMS driver, designed for ultra-high frequencies, is housed in a semiconductor chip-level package. According to the manufacturer, this technology aims to reproduce subtle audio details, such as environmental cues and footsteps in gaming.
The earphone's exterior features an "ice crystal" patterned pure titanium faceplate paired with a precision aluminum alloy frame. The product includes a high-quality single-crystal copper plated silver cable with 0.78mm 2-pin connectors and DUNU's Q-Lock Mini swappable plug system, offering both 4.4mm balanced and 3.5mm unbalanced terminations.
