Duolingo faces securities class action lawsuit following share price volatility

A class action lawsuit has been initiated against Duolingo, Inc. (NASDAQ: DUOL) in connection with alleged securities law violations. The legal action pertains to investors who acquired Class A common stock between May 2, 2025, and February 26, 2026. The plaintiffs allege that the company provided misleading information to the market during this period.

The complaint centers on claims that the company’s public disclosures failed to accurately reflect its financial health or business operations, leading to investor losses when the actual performance figures were realized. The litigation seeks to recover damages on behalf of shareholders who suffered financial harm due to the drop in share price associated with these disclosures.

Legal firm Kessler Topaz Meltzer & Check, LLP is currently coordinating the effort to appoint a lead plaintiff. Investors impacted by the filing have until December 7, 2026, to submit their applications to the court to serve as the lead representative for the class.
