Dynasty Warriors 2 Remastered Released on Steam

Koei Tecmo Games has released the remastered edition of its classic title "Dynasty Warriors 2" and its expansion "Xiantian - Legend of the Great Warriors" on the Steam platform. The game, considered a milestone for the series and the first to sell over a million copies, launched globally on September 30th. The Chinese version of the game is priced starting at 198 yuan.

The remastered version utilizes the Unreal Engine 5, offering a significant graphical upgrade from the original. "Dynasty Warriors 2" introduced key gameplay elements such as "True Musou Frenzy" attacks, split-screen co-op, and a character growth system. The remake promises a more accessible control scheme and smoother combat.

Featuring over 40 playable characters and numerous battlefields set during the Three Kingdoms period, the game allows players to experience the "one versus thousands" combat. The "Xiantian - Legend of the Great Warriors" expansion adds seven new characters, including Lü Bu, Meng Huo, and Yuan Shao, alongside new story scenarios, a guard system editor, and four challenge modes. The PC version supports 4K Ultra-HD resolution, ultra-wide monitors, HDR, and Steam features like achievements and cloud saves.

"Dynasty Warriors 2 Remastered" includes full support for Simplified Chinese, encompassing interface, subtitles, and audio. A Digital Deluxe Edition is also available, offering bonus content such as retro costumes for 42 characters and in-game items. A free trial version can be downloaded, though progress from the demo is not transferable to the full game.
