Dyson confirms early production issues with new AI-powered CameraJet toothbrush
Dyson has confirmed that early production batches of its new AI-powered CameraJet toothbrush experienced water leakage issues due to a manufacturing defect, leading to its temporary removal from retail channels.

Dyson has acknowledged that early production runs of its newly launched CameraJet AI toothbrush encountered problems with water leakage. The company stated that a manufacturing issue with the jetting tube in a specific batch led to water entering other parts of the toothbrush, causing malfunctions.
The $499 CameraJet utilizes AI and an internal camera to provide real-time feedback on brushing technique. Following its market release, consumers reported issues on social media, with some units ceasing to function shortly after use. This prompted retailers to remove the product from sale.
Dyson has since isolated the affected inventory and confirmed that the CameraJet is now back in full production and being supplied to partners. "We have let down loyal customers and are deeply sorry for this," a Dyson spokesperson said. The company apologized for the inconvenience and pledged to support affected consumers.
The CameraJet was Dyson's first-ever toothbrush and a significant product launch after years of development. Its availability was impacted, with major retailers like Best Buy initially removing it from their websites. Dyson is working to address the quality concerns and ensure future product reliability.
