Dyson identifies common hair problems and their solutions
Dyson GmbH has released a guide detailing ten common hair issues. The resource addresses causes like heat damage and dryness, offering practical solutions for consumers.

London, UK – Dyson GmbH has launched an extensive guide addressing ten of the most common hair problems and providing solutions. The educational content, published on the company's Discover Dyson platform, aims to inform consumers about hair health.
The guide covers issues such as heat damage, which can occur when hair styling tools reach excessively high temperatures, often above 150°C. Dyson states that excessive heat can weaken hair and reduce its elasticity, potentially even burning or melting the hair's keratin structure in extreme cases.
Regarding dry and brittle hair, the guide explains how damage to the hair's cuticle can lead to moisture loss, resulting in split ends or breakage. It recommends less frequent washing and the use of moisturizing ingredients, along with the selection of appropriate styling tools.
Dyson also offers solutions for frizz and flyaways, particularly for curly hair types. Rinsing hair with cold water at the end of washing and using pre-styling moisturizing products are suggested methods for smoothing the cuticle. The company highlights the role of its own styling devices, such as the Dyson Airwrap and Supersonic hairdryer, in maintaining hair health by preventing heat damage.
The company further addresses hair loss, noting that it can stem from genetic factors, hormonal changes, nutritional deficiencies, or stress. The guide advises attention to a balanced diet rich in essential vitamins and minerals.
