Dyson Launches Combined Vacuum and Mop Robot

Dyson has introduced its new Spot+Scrub Ai robot vacuum, aiming to provide a combined solution for both vacuuming and mopping in households. The device is designed to handle various floor types and dirt.

A key feature of the new robot vacuum is its ability to both suck up dust and debris while simultaneously mopping floors. Dyson states the unit can achieve a suction power of up to 18,000 Pa, making it effective against pet hair and deeper grime. The mopping function utilizes a moist microfiber roller designed to prevent streaking and leave floors spotless.

The Spot+Scrub Ai employs artificial intelligence and a camera for navigation, enabling obstacle identification and optimized route creation. According to Dyson, this intelligent navigation reduces collisions and enhances cleaning efficiency. Additionally, the device can identify stains and adjust its cleaning functions accordingly.

The unit comes with an automatic emptying and refilling station. This station automatically empties the dustbin and cleans the mop roller with hot water, followed by hot air drying, reducing user maintenance. The robot can be controlled via the MyDyson app, allowing for scheduled cleanings and defined cleaning zones.
