Dyson launches new lightweight wet cleaner
Dyson introduced the PencilWash™ wet cleaner in February 2026. The device is designed to be lightweight and slim, utilizing new cleaning technology for effortless maneuverability and hygienic performance.

Dyson GmbH announced the launch of its new PencilWash™ wet cleaner on February 19, 2026, in Cologne. The company claims it is its slimmest and lightest floor cleaner to date, designed for effortless maneuverability and hygienic cleaning.
The device features a 38 mm slim handle and weighs 2.2 kg, making it easy to handle and store. It can lay flat to reach under low furniture. Dyson states the PencilWash™ uses a combination of humidifying, scrubbing, and suction to ensure only clean water is used for cleaning, preventing dirt from being redistributed.
According to Dyson, the machine's high-density microfiber roller, with 64,000 filaments per cm², removes wet and dry dirt simultaneously. Dirty water is continuously extracted from the roller, and a precision 8-point humidifying system supplies fresh water, providing a hygienic clean with each use. The device is designed to clean along walls and baseboards.
The PencilWash™ operates with two modes for precise control over floor dampness, adapting to different surfaces and cleaning needs. A 300 ml fresh water tank allows for cleaning up to 100 square meters. Dyson states the cleaner offers a 30-minute runtime with an interchangeable battery for extended use, ensuring floors dry quickly.
