DZONE Skydiving Sets Multiple Idaho State Records at High Altitude
DZONE Skydiving in Parma, Idaho, has established a series of new Idaho State skydiving records, reaching altitudes of 18,000 feet. The dropzone facilitated multiple record-breaking jumps in a single morning.
PARMA, Idaho – On July 25, 2026, DZONE Skydiving in Parma, Idaho, set multiple Idaho State skydiving records by reaching a maximum altitude of 18,848 feet (approximately 5,745 meters). The operation utilized specialized aircraft equipped with oxygen, enabling jumps from beyond the standard Visual Flight Rules (VFR) ceiling of 17,999 feet.
Notable achievements included a new record for wingsuit flight distance by Elijah Weber, covering approximately 5.97 miles (9.6 km) and lasting 3 minutes and 30 seconds. Records were also set for freefall distance, freefall time, and speed skydiving. Abbie Mashaal, the dropzone owner, emphasized the goal of pushing athletic boundaries and highlighted the aircraft's capability to reach these extreme altitudes even under challenging conditions, such as high temperatures.
These record-setting jumps continue a legacy for DZONE Skydiving, previously known as Skydive Idaho. The company has held previous state records for largest canopy formations and wingsuit formations. DZONE aims to continuously advance the sport and provide athletes access to higher altitude jumps.
All record attempts are undergoing final ratification by United States Parachute Association (USPA) judges. Once official, these achievements will be added to the state record books, cementing DZONE Skydiving's status as a hub for advanced skydiving disciplines in the region.
