E-reader case designed as a pistol cannot fire
Creator Luke The Maker has designed and 3D-printed a case for the Xteink X4 e-reader that resembles a pistol. The functional object can hold the e-reader but cannot fire.
Louisville, Kentucky-based creator Luke The Maker unveiled a unique 3D-printed case for the Xteink X4 e-reader last month, designed to resemble a pistol. The accessory, dubbed the "Gundle," is shaped after a real firearm but is incapable of firing any projectiles.
The X4 e-reader sits vertically atop the plastic slide of the gun-shaped case, with a cutout on the side providing access to its buttons. Squeezing the trigger mechanism on the case results in no operational function.
Luke Blackford, the creator behind the "Gundle," showcased the accessory in a post online. The video depicts him using the pistol-shaped case while browsing Cormac McCarthy's "Blood Meridian."
While the case mimics the appearance of a Glock 19, it serves solely as a protective shell for the Xteink X4 e-reader and possesses no firearm capabilities.
