e& sells Vodafone stake for USD 5.95 billion
Emirates Telecommunications Group Company PJSC (e&) announced the sale of its approximately 16.21% stake in Vodafone Group PLC to Vega. The transaction is valued at USD 5.95 billion.

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates – Emirates Telecommunications Group Company PJSC, known as e&, has announced the sale of its entire stake in Vodafone Group PLC to Vega. The total transaction value is approximately USD 5.95 billion (AED 21.8 billion).
The sale encompasses nearly 16.21% of Vodafone's shares, representing 17.13% of the total voting rights. The deal includes Vodafone's final dividend for the fiscal year 2026, valued at GBP 2.02 per share.
Following the completion of the transaction, e& anticipates a net cash inflow of approximately USD 1.3 billion (AED 4.7 billion). A representative from e& has also resigned from Vodafone's board of directors in relation to this development.
e&, a global technology group founded in Abu Dhabi, operates in 38 countries. The company provides connectivity and digital solutions, including cloud platforms and AI-driven services for businesses and governments, alongside services for consumers.
