Founded by Kurt Loosli Senior and René A. Thalmann in 1947 as Elektro-Apparatebau Olten, EAO AG has expanded its reach over the decades. The company now operates six production sites, ten sales companies, and maintains a worldwide network of over 50 specialized representatives, employing approximately 600 people.
While early products included high-voltage rectifiers, converters, and transformers, the development of EAO's first illuminated pushbutton laid the foundation for its specialization in HMI. Core values such as Swiss precision, innovation, and engineering expertise have driven the company's growth.
