EAO AG, a family-owned company headquartered in Olten, Switzerland, is celebrating its 75th anniversary. Founded on August 10, 1947, by Kurt Loosli Sr. and René A. Thalmann as Elektro-Apparatebau Olten, the company has grown into a global leader in the field of human-machine interface (HMI) products and solutions.
Today, EAO employs approximately 600 dedicated individuals across four production sites and ten sales companies worldwide. The company also operates a global network of over 50 specialized distributors.
Throughout its history, EAO has combined Swiss values of precision and innovation with engineering excellence. Early developments included high-voltage rectifiers, static converters, and illuminated push-buttons. This foundation has guided the company's focus on developing and delivering HMI solutions.
