EAO AG announced in March 2025 the launch of its Series 09 product line, designed to improve Human-Machine Interface (HMI) solutions for waste collection trucks. The new components are engineered to boost the reliability and safety of both interior cab and exterior controls used in demanding operational environments.
Waste collection trucks operate in harsh conditions, requiring controls that can withstand severe weather, intense sunlight, and exposure to dirt and dust. EAO's Series 09 addresses these challenges with advanced HMI solutions.
Within the series, the Universal Switch is designed for vehicle interiors, built to automotive standards with an ergonomic design and durable surface finish for improved tactile feedback. Standard illuminated symbols are available from the ISO 7000 database or can be customized to meet specific customer requirements.
The Series 09 Rugged CAN-Based Keypads are built for aggressive application requirements, offering resilient solutions for both internal and external control uses. These keypads feature interchangeable legends, customizable halo illumination, and CAN bus integration, allowing manufacturers to adapt HMI specifications to their needs. Their compact form factor and flexible mounting options simplify integration.
